Before each use, trim the candle's wick to 1/4".

The first time you light your Essence of Esther Pure Soy Wax Candle it is important to burn it at least 3 hours to allow the liquid wax pool to cover the complete parameter of the candle and reaching the candle walls.  This will establish the candle's wax memory and will help prevent tunneling, which leaves a ring of unmelted wax built up on the walls.

To prevent fire and serious injury:

Burn the candle within sight.  Keep away from drafts and vibrations.  Keep out of reach of children and pets.  Never burn the candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

Keep candle free from any foreign materials including matches and 
wick trimmings.  Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.  Do not burn the candle for more than 3 hours at a time.

Protect you candle dust and other airborne particles by keeping the lid on it when not in use.  This will ensure that the candle will continue to burn properly and the fragrance will remain strong. 

Extinguish the candle before leaving your home or going to bed by dipping the wick into the liquid wax or using a candle snuffer.
